My involvement with psychology extends to the fields of education and research.
I have ten years of experience teaching at the university level, where I have taught and lectured at various universities and colleges in England, Cyprus, and Greece. As a university lecturer, I have taught at undergraduate and postgraduate levels (from first-year undergraduates to PhD students) in several insitutions:
I also have experience in different formats (e.g. weekly, seminars, workshops, etc.) and several modes (e.g. synchronous electronic, asynchronous electronic, hybrid format) and various curricula. The subjects I have taught are health psychology, clinical psychology, social psychology, psychopathology, research methodology in psychology (Quantitative and qualitative), and public health.
At the same time, I identify myself as a researcher. This aspect of my identity is attested to by seven years of research at PhD level and as a research associate on research projects in England. I have published scholarly articles on theory, methodology and practice in several high-impact scientific journals. In reference, some of the journals I have published alongside prestigious collaborators and colleagues are Qualitative Research in Psychology, Critical Public Health, HIV Medicine, BMC Public Health, and Methods in Psychology.
In addition, I have presented research findings at several scientific conferences, both in the UK and internationally. Through my research experience and participation in prestigious interdisciplinary and academic groups, I have gained expertise in innovative forms of qualitative research, with deep knowledge of theoretical, methodological and practical issues such as visual methods, participatory research and Interpretative Phenomenological Analysis (IPA). I have also specialised in designing research interventions using quantitative and mixed methods (quantitative and qualitative).
I offer consultancy services to academic institutions, research centres and psychosocial support organisations to design and implement research projects relevant to my experience and expertise. I am open to proposals regarding lectures, talks and presentations, seminars or workshops for students, and research collaborations with academic institutions.
